  • The Building Resilient Indonesian Cities project team recently visited five major cities in Indonesia to talk with city representatives about how climate change is affecting their environments and communities. 
  • We are pleased to welcome on board the first 22 councils that have to chosen to become CCP Leaders.
  • The City of Mandurah, WA, and Campbelltown City Council, SA, are the first councils in their states to complete Milestone 5 of the Water Campaign.
  • We seized the opportunity at the Local Government New Zealand conference in Rotorua to congratulate 11 CCP-NZ participating councils on their progress

ICLEI Oceania is the regional secretariat for ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability.

The ICLEI Oceania head office is hosted by the City of Melbourne and was established in 1999. ICLEI Oceania staff are also based in Perth, Western Australia; Adelaide, South Australia; Brisbane, Queensland; and Wellington, New Zealand.

Wayne Wescott is the ICLEI Oceania Chief Executive Officer. He is a strong advocate of taking action through sustainable frameworks and combining the need for short-term gains and long-term structural change.
