Second International Seminar - Local Renewables Model Community Network
The Second International Seminar of the LocalRenewables Model Community Network took place in Betim (Brazil) from 27 to 29 June 2007.
After one year of activities in the region, this second international event presented projects and policies in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency that could be replicated by other municipalities. Participants at the event included national and international speakers who presented on sustainable alternative energies, their benefits and business opportunities for city administrations.

The LocalRenewables Model Communities Network was initiated in 2005 by ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability with the goal of supporting cities in their efforts to become models in the use and promotion of renewable energy and energy efficiency, facilitate communication in a network between other communities and beyond and disseminate good practices and promote exchange of experiences.
